Cathedral To Release In Memoriam Deluxe Reissue In June

cathedral cd dvd cover in memoriam

Doom metal pioneers Cathedral will release a deluxe reissue of their debut demo album In Memoriam from Rise Above Records on June 29th. Lasting from 1989 until their disbandment after 2013’s The Last Spire Album (Rise Above/Metal Blade), their impact has hardly diminished in recent years. Rise Above Records is the label venture from Cathedral mainstay guitarist Gary “Gaz” Jennings (Death Penalty, Lucifer, Acid Reign).

Key members of the band are on to new ventures. Jennings released the debut from his new band Death Penalty last year and Lucifer just released Lucifer I. Lee Dorrian’s new band With The Dead features original Electric Wizard members Mark Greening and Tim Bagshaw.

Details of the In Memoruim release:

*CD edition comes with bonus DVD, featuring a rare live performance from 1991. Also includes booklet with extensive notes and rare photos.

*Vinyl edition comes as a double 180gm LP set in gatefold sleeve and full sized 8-page booklet.
