Seattle black/death/progressive metal cadre, Blighted Eye, recently shared a lyric video for their new track, “A Reverent Stillness.” It is the penultimate song on their approaching album, Agony’s Bespoke, due out on digipak CD, limited-edition vinyl, and digital formats, September 20th, via Beyond The Top Records. Agony’s Bespoke is a monumental, hour-long work, marking a new height for the band’s growing skills of songwriting and storytelling. Theatrical and immersive, the album is heavily inspired by the 2018 Australian film, Nightingale, and tells a similarly tragic story. Highlighting the transformative power of violence and the ultimate futility of revenge, the album seeks to explore the lasting emotional and psychological impact of trauma.
