British heavy metal legends Black Sabbath — featuring its original line-up of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward — have announced plans to return to the stage for one final show on July 5, 2025 at Villa Park in Birmingham, England. The performance will also feature performances from (Black Sabbath frontman) Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Alice in Chains and more.
Black Sabbath announced their return to the stage for one final show recently and guitarist Tony Iommi has issued a statement on the announcement.
It’s been an incredible journey, but it’s only fitting that it ends here, where it all began in Aston. It’s great to be honoured by your fellow musicians and at the same time support good causes. None of this would’ve been possible without Ozzy, Geezer, and Bill. What we created together was bigger than any one of us, and I’ll always be grateful for that.

Ozzy Osbourne offered the following:
“It’s my time to go Back to the Beginning….time for me to give back to the place where I was born. How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever.”
The event will also feature several guest appearances from Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins), Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit), Jonathan Davis (Korn), Papa V Perpetua (Ghost), Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine) and more.
