Recently signing to the BMG/Rise Records, rising indie artist, Black Polish, has just dropped their new single, “Be With You.” Their first new music since their 2024 debut album Forest, it was mixed by Damian Taylor (Björk, The Killers, Arcade Fire, and comes with an official music video, directed by Gus Black (Phoebe Bridgers, Lizzy McAlpine, Foy Vance). “Seeking comfort in denial can only last for so long,” notes Black Polish of the track. “We yearn for each other for opposite, selfish, and destructive reasons. This one night stand has led to war, and I don’t even wanna be with you.”
Black Polish brings a unique perspective to their interpretation of the world, informed by being a part of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. They draw inspiration from a diverse array of artists from Fleetwood Mac and Mitski to Twenty One Pilots and Melanie Martinez. They also ardently champion mental health awareness while maintaining a heightened sensitivity towards other marginalized groups. Their rich tapestry of life experiences continues to inform their art and music.
