Bask recently confirmed that they will be releasing their new album, Ramble Beyond, on March 24th via Self Aware Records (US) and This Charming Man Records (EU). The band has been described as progressive, heavy, psychedelic Americana, and they’ve taken their sound to a whole new level on the new record.
Here’s what the guys in Bask had to say on Ramble Beyond: “With this album we collaborated more than ever and made a conscious effort to explore new textures and dynamics within our sound. To wander somewhere unfamiliar. To go further. To dream of home. We set out to make a record in motion. American Hollow was sedentary. It was a record about Appalachia. Ramble Beyond travels geographically from song to song. It shifts in concept from side A to side B. It moves between time, space and sound one verse at a time.”
If that’s not enough to get you excited, the press release states that “Ramble Beyond is a true sonic adventure, sailing powerfully from massive Mastodon-esque movements to the rhythmic southern lilts of Skynyrd, even conquering the depths of Sleep and classic Alice in Chains.”
Sounds amazing right?! Right!
Today the guys in Bask have honored us with the unveiling of the cover artwork, as well as the exclusive premiere of their new ‘Asleep in the Orchard’ single! Enjoy it below!
Bask will be releasing the ‘Asleep in the Orchard’ single tomorrow on Bandcamp, and will be donating all sales to American Civil Liberties Union. It’s a win win!
