Original KISS lead guitarist and New York City rock icon Ace Frehley will perform his classic song ‘Back In The New York Groove’ at the NHL’s Winter Classic on New Years’ Day. The Buffalo Sabres will take on the hometown New York Rangers at New York’s Citi Field. Also performing are Goo Goo Dolls and E Street Band Drummer Max Weinberg.

The 2018 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic will be broadcast live on NBC, Sportsnet and TVA Sports at 1 p.m. ET, continuing the tradition the league established in 2008 of hosting a regular-season outdoor game at the onset of the New Year, with this year’s edition marking the 10th anniversary of the first NHL Winter Classic in Buffalo.

Frehley continues to support his 2016 covers collection Origins, Vol 1 (eOne Music), while he works on two potential follow up releases in 2018.
