Start your day off with some real rock! Ghost Cult brings you the premiere of the new single from Hana Piranha, ‘Silk and Poison’! The track comes from their new album Waiting To Burn out tomorrow, 22nd March 2019 via Fourglove Records. For the uninitiated, Hana Piranha, led by singer/violinist Hana Maria brings a Goth Rock aesthetic, with catchy songs, deep-bodied vocals, soulful lyrics, and some sick violin work, as both a solo instrument and woven into the songs themselves. A really impressive young band you should be checking out! Stream the song and purchase the new single and album at the links from the band below.
The band comments:
“‘Silk and Poison’ was written after a trip to The Tower of London. An exhibition there on torture machines, including one called a Scavenger’s Daughter, inspired the chorus lyric “You hold me tighter than a Scavenger’s Daughter”. The song is about being caught in a web of deceit with no strength to get out. Jim and I wrote this song in a single evening and it’s probably my favourite on the album.”
