Finnish psych-folk and occult doom outfit Hexvessel have kicked off their European tour in support of last year’s Nocturne from Prophecy Productions, joined by French occult rock pioneers Aluk Todolo. A limited new gatefold marbled black and silver vinyl 2LP edition of Nocturne is available exclusively at the merch desk throughout the run. Stream the album below.

Hexvessel is the ever-evolving Finnish project founded by English vocalist and songwriter Mat “Kvohst” McNerney. They released their seventh full-length, Nocturne, via Prophecy Productions in June 2025. Rooted in a commissioned performance for Roadburn Festival 2024, the album blends atmospheric and melodic black metal with ritual folk psychedelia, cosmic synths, spectral piano, and McNerney’s characteristic occult lyricism.

For this European run, Hexvessel are joined by Aluk Todolo, the French avant-garde occult rock act whose hypnotic, ritualistic music makes them a natural companion to this series of concerts. McNerney commented on the run: “Our journey to the nightside is now open to all travellers. The ticket is a sacrifice of time but the rewards are timeless. Take it with you outside or let it take you outside. We are for the dark, not for death, but alive in fire.”
