Lorna Shore Books Christmas Shows ft. Currents, Rivers of Nihil, Varials, and Entheos
Lorna Shore has booked three Christmas shows this December! The shows are dubbed A Lorna Shore Christmas and the first will take place at the Worcester Palladium, with the other two at The Paramount on Long Island and finally Starland Ballroom in New Jersey. The Pre-sale code and Ticket links are at the link below. Direct support on the shows will come from Currents, Rivers of Nihil, Varials, and Entheos. Lorna Shore has had a huge year touring the globe, are currently in Europe, and have completed several tours with Gojira and Mastodon!
Rivers of Nihil Share New “Hellbirds” Single and Video
Progressive metallers, Rivers of Nihil, have just released thier latest single and video, “Hellbirds”. This is the second track made public featuring previous bassist/backing vocalist Adam Biggs on lead vocals, and new member, guitarist Andy Thomas (ex-Black Crown Initiate), whose vocals also play prominently in the music. It was a chilly night in December at The Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ for the sold -out Holidaze Rager 2 tour featuring Killswitch Engage, Rivers of Nihil, Unearth, and Lybica. As the parking lot quickly filled up and fans lined up, it was evident we were all about to experience a high-energy show to match the anticipatory buzz of the crowd. The venue has a maximum capacity of 2500 people, and it certainly felt that way as the night developed.

CONCERT REVIEW: Rivers of Nihil – Fallujah – Allegeaon Live at The Asylum, Birmingham
Originally set to feature a very different line-up, the Faces of Death Tour was forced to undergo an almost complete overhaul a few months ago when, for a variety of reasons, Archspire, Black Crown Initiate and To The Grave were all forced to withdraw. With their replacements announced in August, the show was back on with the three new supports eager to prove their worth.

The Contortionist finished their Fall tour with Rivers of Nihil last Saturday at the Old National Centre in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was a concept tour in a way. Not only did The Contortionist play two of their albums in their entirety, but Rivers of Nihil also played an album straight through. That is something I had never seen before.
Rivers of Nihil Parts Ways with Founding Member Jake Dieffenbach
In a surprising announcement – Rivers of Nihil has announced the departure of vocalist Jake Dieffenbach who co-founded the band in 2009. He is the second long-time member to leave the band in 2022, following guitarist Jon Topore who exited several months ago. According to a statement from the band, they will not replace Jake, but bassist and co-founder Adam Biggs will take over lead vocals. The band continues to tour behind their stellar album The Work (Metal Blade) released one year ago, with tours such as their upcoming tour of Europe with Fallujah and Allegaeon, as well as their run of dates with Killswitch Engage and Unearth to end the year.

Arctangent Festival is closing in on a sellout for their comeback festival later this month. The fest has now added new acts such as Scalping, Famyne, Outlander, Sergeant Thunderhoof, Cryptic Shift, Ogives Big Band, to the weekend. The fest already features headliners Opeth, Cult of Luna, and TesseracT as headliners, and has now added the updated festival map and clashfinder for fans to make use of!
