When Chester Bennington died on July 20th, it sent a shockwave through the music world. Although there seems to have been a lesser number of deaths in the music world this year compared to last, they have been no less painful. The fact that he died by suicide is tragic, and should not come with any sort of stigma, or lessen his greatness and accomplishments. Chicago Open Air Announces Experiences With Pop Up Party Tonight


 

The countdown to the 2nd Chicago Open Air Festival is on, with just 7 weeks to go. Tonight their will be a Pop up party celebrating the Kickoff Dinner hosted by Danny Wimmer Presents as the official Chicago Open Air Kickoff Dinner, held at Kuma’s Corner (2900 W. Belmont) on Thursday, July 13 at 7 p.m. For $50, attendees will be treated to burgers, appetizers and beer, and will have the chance to hang out with host Jose Mangin, from SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal. Tye Trujillo Performs His First Show With Korn


 

Korn revealed last week that, due to unforeseen circumstances, Fieldy would not be playing on their 2017 South American tour. Instead of ccancelingthe run, the band asked Tye Trujillo, the 112-year-oldson of Metallica‘s Robert Trujillo, to play bass for them, and it looks like they made the right choice.
