Tripsitter – The Other Side Of Sadness


They say you should never judge a book by its cover. If you do you might imagine that Ulysses, by James Joyce, is a novel about Irish architecture rather than a masterpiece of modernist literature / a meritless stream of consciousness depending on whose opinion you ask for. A cursory glance at The Other Side Of Sadness (Prosthetic Records) by Austrian quartet, Tripsitter, would imply nu-Metal with its monstrous, Korn-like depiction of a family portrait. What we get instead is a curious blend of Hardcore, Shoegaze and even the tiniest hint of Black Metal – so intertwined are the latter two thanks to Blackgaze.Continue reading


Korn Replaces Ozzy Osbourne at Rocklahoma 2019


Following the news that Ozzy Osbourne has post-poned all of his 2019 concerts until 2020, Korn has stepped up to fill in for the “Prince of Darkness” at Rocklahoma 2019. They join Disturbed, Shinedown, Bush, Seether, In This Moment, Steel Panther, Jackyl, Asking Alexandria, and forty-plus other bands, along with brand new experiences for 2019. Rocklahoma will take place Memorial Day Weekend on Friday, May 24, Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26, 2019, at “Catch The Fever” Festival Grounds in Pryor, Oklahoma, just outside of Tulsa. Alice In Chains and Korn Team Up For Co-Headline Tour


As previously announced iconic American rock and metal bands Alice In Chains and Korn will team up for a co-headline tour of the USA this summer. Underoath will join as special guest on all dates, with HO99O9 and Fever 333 opening on select dates. Produced by Live Nation, the 30-city outing will kick off July 18 in Del Valle, Texas at Austin360 Amphitheatre and make stops in Dallas, Nashville, Toronto, Denver and more before wrapping September 4 in Mountain View, California at Shoreline Amphitheatre. Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, March 1 at 10 a.m. local time at LiveNation.com. Citi is the official presale credit card for the tour. As such, Citi cardmembers will have access to purchase presale tickets beginning Tuesday, February 26 at 10:00 a.m. local time until Thursday, February 28 at 10:00 p.m. local time through Citi’s Private Pass program. Slayer and Shinedown will also be available in certain cities. Bethel Woods Center For The Arts (BWCA), a non-profit cultural center located at the historic site of the 1969 Woodstock Festival in Bethel, New York, Live Nation, and INVNT, a global live brand storytelling agency, have announced Bethel Woods Music And Culture Festival: celebrating the golden anniversary at the historic site of the 1969 Woodstock festival. Taking place August 16-18, 2019 and held at BWCA just 90 minutes from New York City, the event is the successor to the original Woodstock in 1969, Woodstock 94, and Woodstock 99.
