The band’s singer, guitarist, synth player and founder Phillip T. King has offered his thoughts on the song, the video, the experience that is “Beside the Point”:

““Beside the Point”  is a cool little song that perhaps defines Flitcraft in a way…it’s weird and dark and yet also creeps up with a pop vibe and catchy chorus. I wanted to write something simple and trancy; this is the result. The video was a fun experiment in attempting to make a narrative out of the dreamy strangeness that the music evokes. It’s my tip of the hat to the film noir vibes of David Lynch; I want people to feel odd and then laugh. Which is my general experience in day to day life.”
