St. Louis doom titans, Fister, are about to drop their first studio album in six years. Titled Graceless, it functions as the direct sequel to 2013’s Gemini, and arrives on September 5th, via bassist, Kenny Snarzyk’s new label, Possession Press. Keep reading below for more.

“Graceless feels like the natural continuation of Gemini, but darker, heavier, and more personal,” says Snarzyk. “We’ve worked with a handful of small labels over the last 16 years. Releasing this album ourselves seemed like the right move.”
Known for their suffocating heaviness and uncompromising sound, Fister delivers another chapter in bleak, crushing doom metal that expands on the themes of despair and destruction that defined Gemini. Graceless also marks a significant milestone for the band: it is the debut release from Possession Press, a fresh imprint rising from the legacy of his earlier underground label, Pissfork Anticulture. Graceless was recorded by Gabe Usery at Encapsulated Studios and will be available on LP and cassette, with physical copies sold exclusively through the band and possessionpress.com.
