Uncomfortable Knowledge will drop their new album Lifeline in February 2024. Now the post-Rock/Post-Metal band from France has teamed up with Ghost Cult to share their new single “Astral Mark!” Stream the new track and preorder the album now.
The band commented:
“This explosive and epic piece translates the need to externalize anxiety and expresses the will to stop being a passive observer to finally start taking action. Through fast rhythms, strong melodies, and calmer phases, this track boosts our energy and inspires us to stand up. A sensitive and melodic exploration of the metal genre.”
Uncomfortable Knowledge will release new album “Lifeline” in February 2024. This French quintet comes from Occitanie which is the southernmost administrative region of metropolitan France. Lifeline explores the dark sides of the human soul through hypnotic Post-Metal mixing heavy riffs and atmospheric passages in order to create a high sounding moving picture.
With Lifeline the band’s sophomore album, we are invited to think about our position in the world, about the meaning of our life, as well as the many sided interplays we may share with our fellow men, while remembering every instant counts. The album will also reveal baroque stringed settings and dark film atmospheres that will add a unique dimension to their sound and is an invitation to both perseverance and resilience. Lifeline follows 2021’s acclaimed debut Black Queen which was described by Nouvellevague.com as a “Successful attempt for this first album..to discover urgently!” and by W-FENEC Magazine as “32 minutes of strong sensations, 32 minutes of gentle madness, 32 minutes of exacerbated sound power.”
The album is mixed by Jonathan Mazzeo (The Agonist, Despised Icon, Beneath the Massacre), Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, Get The Shot) handled the mastering and finally the visuals come courtesy of Reuben Bhattacharya (Slipknot, Black Sabbath, Jinjer, The Black Dhalia Murder, Soilwork, Monuments).
